Templetons Financial StrategiesEstablished in 1982, Templetons is a busy financial planning practice based in Brisbane. Like most financial planning businesses, time and resources are taken up meeting their service obligations to clients and meeting compliance requirements. Despite these challenges Templetons recognises that we are now in a ‘digital age’ and that it is important for their business to embrace digital marketing.

In the last 12 months Templetons has:

  • launched a new website.
  • delivered 25 email newsletters to their database via the Client Communication Tool (CCT).
  • set-up their Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter and Google+ pages.
  • delivered fresh content to their social media pages daily (6 days per week).
  • improved their Google ranking for a number of key search terms.

How do they do it?

How does Templetons keeps it’s website and social media pages up to date with fresh content? This is where Clientcomm plays a supporting role.

Using Clientcomm’s Client Communication Engine, articles, images and videos are automatically fed to their email newsletters, website and social media pages – it’s all done!

Templetons also has the flexibility to log in at anytime and post their own content to their website, social media or email newsletters.

We have been very happy with Clientcomm’s support and service. For our business, we wanted to regularly post interesting material on social media and our website as well as the regular AMP communications where relevant. The way our social media, website and client communications are all now linked means we can be regularly updating our content without it being labour intensive. Peter’s support and assistance in setting this up has been brilliant and we highly recommend them.”

Social Media

Templetons is using 2 services:

social media feedSocialFeed

Oliver’s Insights and AMP Capital Monthly Market Updates are fed automatically to the above social media pages. Most important – if you click on the links to read these types of posts you are taken back to the Templeton’s website. Again – directing traffic back to the website plays a role in Search Engine indexing.

social media extraSocialExtra

A variety of daily posts covering topics such as lifestyle, motivation, business and financial planning. These posts are set up each week and scheduled to be sent to chosen social media pages at specific times.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

search engine optimisation

With some simple adjustments Templeton’s has begun climbing the Google rankings for key word searches. For example, one search term that Templetons has targeted is ‘Credit Adviser Brisbane’. When the website was first launched in April 2014 they were ranked 49th, ie on page 5. As at 16th October 2014 they are now ranked 3rd on page 1 in the organic search. They are the first financial planning practice ranked for this search term.

Templetons website

The Templetons’ website is customised with their brand and is importantly mobile responsive. This means that clients can view the website on their computers as well as tablets and mobile phones. Fresh articles are added regularly and automatically to the News & Info section  including newsletter articles, Olivers Insights, Market Updates and Video commentary.  This helps with search engine optimisation (SEO) as the articles are on the Templetons website and not a link to another website.

CCT (Client Communication Tool)

Templetons email newsletter

Using the Client Communication Tool, Templetons has delivered 25 email newsletters (Newsletter articles, Olivers’ Insights, Market Updates, Federal Budget update) to their database in the last 12 months. The newsletters were all set-up with compliant articles and images. These articles were automatically posted to their website and social media pages as soon as the newsletter was released.
