Launching your website is an exciting occasion for your business. Now it is live, the next job is making it easy for people to find it. Getting more traffic to your site means being listed in the search results on Google and other search engines like Bing.

Unfortunately, a lot of patience is needed while you wait for the search engine bots to crawl and find your new website. You can, however, help speed up the process using a few search engine optimisation techniques.

1.     Set-up Google Analytics

4.     Create or update your social media profiles

The search engine crawlers get to your website via links. One way to get some quick links is posting links from your new website on your social media pages. These include Twitter, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Youtube etc.

5.     Build citations in local directories

A citation is a mention of your business name, address, phone number and/or website. Citations help broaden the visibility of your business and website. Directories include websites like www.yelp.com.au , www.truelocal.com.au, www.hotfrog.com.au and many  more. For a list of the Top 20 Australian Business Directories click here.
